Last weekend the TTH Team of Alex, Natasha and Katie caught up with the 3D sensation of the week: Piranha 3D at the Center Cinema 5 in Sunnyside, Queens. Although it features one-third of the cast of Back to the Future, the eighties movie that it’s more closely ripping off is clearly Jaws 3D. There was also a horror movie called Piranha which came out in 1978 (and was co-written by John Sayles!) but this wasn’t exactly a remake; more of a 3D re-imagining of how far you can go with the idea of man-eating piranhas. If you don’t mind gore, girls and more gore, definitely go check it out. Here’s our one-minute review:
This past Tuesday Alex and Stefan caught a press screening of Inception at the Loews Lincoln Square 13. They were running late and the popcorn line was running long but they managed to enjoy the heck out of this multi-level dream thriller. See their video-phoned-in review below:

Wow the phone lines were on fire this weekend. Even though Clash of the Titans 3D raked in $61.4 million this weekend there were certainly some folks who wished refunDDD was spelled with 3 D’s. Listen in on Demetri’s angry phoned-in review:

Alex and Stefan arrived a few minutes late to the press screening of Clash of the Titans 3D and their seats in the front row made the experience a little Too-D. This week Alex, Dave and Stefan phoned in Wolfman and they were clearly taken in by Benicio Del Torro’s beastlyness. They also experimented with a new form of instant film criticism: TEXTING IT IN! While the movie was playing Alex texted in some wolf puns he overheard being uttered by his friends:

1:24 AM: Wolf figure it out
1:31 AM: You Can’t spell wolfman without wo-man!
